Hey all~!

This is just another short little entry!!

Since the end of semester I have found myself drifting back to my bookshelf to start reading again and with the desire to read again comes the desire to buy and read more books! I do blame this completely on AllThatGlitters21 (Elle Fowler on YouTube), her glitteratures are so addictive and she has made me want to start reading again!!

I am currently finishing the "Fallen" series by Lauren Kate, and I feel like it's one of those series that I enjoyed when I read...but I don't think I'll ever be able to read it again. I'm not even finished the last book and I'm starting to fell like it's too young for me, or just not as good as it was when I started the series in high-school...I don't know.

Anyway!! I bought 3 new books from Co-Op Bookstore!! I bought them from here because I'm a member and I get a discount and I just love getting things cheaper. :)

I recieved the books yesterday, and one of them has been placed on back order. I ordered Jodi Picoult's new book that she wrote with her daughter and the first two books in a series. Unfortunately, the one that was placed on back order was the first in that series....inconvenient much?
So these are the two books I actually recieved:
Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer
AND
The Red Queen by Philippa Gregory (the first book is called the White Queen)

I am a big fan of Picoult's work, I have read The Pact and Nineteen Minutes and am excited to read more of her novels. I haven't read any of Gregory's novels before but I know of her work, she is rather talented I am to understand, so I am also excited to read her novels (once the first one shows up).

I'm considering starting reviews on the books I read, although these will only appear during breaks from classes (I put down all my novels once classes start), but let me know if you are interested. Also, if you have any recommendations for books you have read and loved, let me know!!

UPDATE 27/11

This morning I recieved The White Queen!! I now own the first two books for this series!!
That's all for now.

Hey all~!

This is a little, like seriously TINY, entry to basically show you guys my new phone cover and give a shout out to the person who made it!!

I own the Samsung Galaxy S3 and just today I recieved a cover from the etsy seller elevenbuttons (http://www.etsy.com/shop/elevenbuttons?ref=seller_info).

For those who don't know, etsy is an online community of sellers who often custom make their own items and sell them to others in the community. There are often very unique items and often sellers do custom items. This seller makes phone cases in all different designs for different phones and you are able to make custom requests. I chose a design that was on their page and bought it for my phone.

They are an overseas seller but I have to say the price was amazing and the shipping didn't ruin it at all! The case was $16 and the shipping $6. This is what the case looks like...I would've taken a photo of the cover ON my phone...my my camera IS my phone. Haha.

I love it! It fits perfectly and doesn't hinder the operation of buttons around the device (which is always a plus) so I definitely recommend this seller if you are in the market for a new case. I found that it was the cheapest I could get a pretty case for my phone. If anyone knows other places, leave a comment below!!

That's all for today though, told you it was short, until next time,

Hey~!

I just felt like writing, so this blog entry is going to be a recap of my day and some random thoughts...I tend to write my thoughts BEFORE I process them.

So, right now I am sitting here catching up on Bones (love this show) and eating these candy candes my mum bought me. I asked for candy canes, and maybe I'm just REALLY finicky with my candy canes but these candy canes are just...not that great. They are the "Dominion Naturals Candy Canes : Peppermint Flavoured" and they are just...honestly, it's like eating solid toothpaste. The worst part...I'm still eating them!! It doesn't taste good, but I love the texture for some reason and the after sensation is just like having brushed your teeth. That's weird isn't it? Is anyone else out there really specific with the types of candy canes you like? Let me know!!

So, my day: shopping! It was payday yesterday...so of course I go out and spend all my money. I am not a very good saver! I'm supposed to be saving my money for furniture for my new room and yet I go out and buy a whole bunch of stuff that I probably don't need...but I wanted it, haha. Oh well, with Christmas coming up I am starting to spend my money on OTHERS instead of being the diva I am and buying all these pretty shiny new things. Oh! Also, I don't want you to get the wrong idea, it's not like I'm buying expensive things!! I don't own anything couture or high-end...and I shop sales! I will be posting a haul on my other blog from this trip...will probably combine it with my haul from BooHoo.

Also, for some reason on this trip I was just constantly stopped by people who wanted to sign me up for things, or sell me something...am I the only one who just cowers when people do that? Like, even people in stores, the employees who come up to you and try to assist you...I just feel cornered when those people come up...I just want to have free reign and be able to look at what I want in my own time!! Is anyone else like that, or am I just crazy?

Ok, well I feel like I have gone on and bored you all enough...but I mean isn't that what a personal blog is? I feel like a blog should be the expression of a person thoughts...so here, at least on this side of my blog, that's what you're going to get: pure, unfiltered thoughts.

Hope you weren't too bored!! I'll be back after the weekend to tell you about my weekend and I hope someone out there will share their weekend back!!

Until then,

Hey all~!

Just another more "life" type blog, less related to the other side of this blog. Today's entry is a haul a mini review for Yankee Candles. For those who don't know, Yankee Candles are basically these candles that have crazy scents, like "Fluffy Towels" and "Vanilla Cupcake".

Back Story
I have been pinning over candles for a while now, watching hauls on YouTube from Bath and Body Works and desperately searching for Slatkin and Co candles here in Aus!! Unfortunately,  I didn't find them, BUT I did discover another brand that does jar/container candles in amazing scents and fell in love with them (actually more so than Slatkin and Co due to the range). I found the online official stock store for these candles, and for those of you who are interested pop on over to:

www.yankee.net.au

These candles are VERY expensive, and I have yet to find another way to buy them other than through this online store. If anyone knows any other (reliable) sources to buy these candles, leave a comment below.

On this site, the sampler candles (votives) are $4.95 and the medium 2-wick jar candles (tumblers) are $39.99. Postage is $15 standard (which I was kinda bummed about) but in the end I couldn't pass up the chance to own and try these candles.

Read on to see what I bought and my initial thoughts!!

Hey everyone~!

I decided to share with you my productive day!! I didn't feel like this really belonged in the other blog I have set up so I decided I would create a seperate blog that is more just "life" in general. I will probably try to update this once or twice a week, or if something fun and interesting happens perhaps more often! We'll have to see! Anyway...on with the entry!!

It's a Monday, the most dreaded day of the week - the beginning of the work week for some, others have school bright and early but no matter what your responsibilities Monday means the end of the weekend!! Everyone hates Mondays!! So waking up this morning I was shocked to be waking up feeling better than I had all weekend!! I was chipper, and feeling ready to get things done!!

Not one to waste a good mood like this, (as I am rarely feeling like being productive) I decided to get the ball rolling by finishing my final essay for the year! Done and dusted! Such a great feeling knowing that I don't have to go back to campus for another 3 months!! I can't believe I get all of summer off! It's such a huge adjustment, but one I am willing to adjust to! Thinking of picking up an old hobby during break and maybe researching some extracurricular courses to do outside of my current courses.

Following this up-and-go kind of day I decided to clean all of my make-up brushes and finally put them back in their little wrap-case home. While those were drying I decided to get a head-start on the clean-out that is happening later this month for my street and started cleaning out and organising the mess that is my room!! I managed to organise and store all of my art supplies in one neat box and all of my make-up and hair products (curling iron and rollers) in another. I also found a way to store my nail polish upright!! It's not a permanent solution, but I feel like moving them out of the bag I had them thrown in is just a great step forward! My nail polish collection is currently sitting in a cake tin inside of a cake carrier under my bed. Once the full clean-out of my room is done I plan to find a better solution for this, if you have any ideas please comment below!!

Of course, this up-and-go version of myself wore out eventually and by about 4pm I was exhausted and my room looks worse than it did before!! Things have become more organised in one section, but at the expense of the entire room!! Oh dear. So, tomorrow's mission is definitely to just do a clean up and I will continue different stages of the clean-up as the weeks progress!!

ON AN UNPRODUCTIVE NOTE: I sat down to watch a movie with dinner tonight and I decided to watch Disney's Brave! I had heard great things about the animation in this film and as a lover of art I decided to watch it, not expecting much other than great animation. I have to say, this film surprised me! I felt it had not only great animation and design, but an enjoyable storyline and characters. It did have a sort of silly and childlike story line, but it is a more family and children's film after all, and the moralistic tale and the subtext of the film was just beautiful: a story about fate and our paths in life. I really enjoyed this film, it had these great moments where I found myself laughing out loud and other's were I was welling up with tears. There were  A LOT of cutesy moments, and the baby bears (you'll know what I'm talking about if you've seen it) are to die for! So friggin cute!! Must say, I do reccommend this highly!!

Well that is all for this entry ladies and gentlemen!

Hope you enjoyed reading, and if there's anything else you would like to see in this, my other blog or my website in general feel free to leave a comment or contact me.

Have a great week!!
